JOB OBJECTIVE
Jumpstart Automotive Group has an opening for a self-motivated individual to manage our PR efforts. This is a chance for a dynamic individual to expand on and leverage local and national media for our various brands. A successful candidate in this role will have strong media relationships and the knowledge to run innovative and creative PR campaigns.

FUNCTIONS
-Plan, develop and execute companys PR calendar, including: news announcements, releases, pitches, events and reports
-Develop and maintain strong media relationships to assist in pitches and interview support
-Arrange speaking engagements for management and organize conference participation
-Manage day-to-day relationship with PR agency/vendor
-Manage social media initiatives (including blogs and twitter)
-Regularly measure and report results
REQUIREMENTS
-BA in journalism, PR or related field
-Minimum 4-6 years of PR experience (for an agency or within a company managing an agency)
-Familiarity with Marketwire, and other newswire services
-Organized person with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
-Proven track record of generating publicity with strong contacts in local and national media
-Keen business acumen with the ability to translate business goals into communications campaigns
-Self-motivated, strong sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
-Ability to multi-task
-Strong desire to learn, contribute and think innovatively
-Automotive experience preferred but not required
-Occasionally working weekends and travel may be required
